Open Science Policy Expert, Open Science Knowledge Hub UEFISCDI

Ioana Trif is Open Science Policy Expert at the Open Science Knowledge Hub of Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI) in Romania. She developed the national strategic framework for Open Science (2022-2030) and her current work focuses on Open Science policy and practice, including issues related to research assessment, being involved in the implementation of European and national projects. She is also member of the EOSC Association Task Force Upskilling countries to engage in EOSC and she currently acts as the national representative within Policy Support Facility Challenge – Mutual Learning Exercise Citizen Science Initiatives – Policy and Practice, European Commission. She contributed to the establishment of the National Open Science Cloud Initiative which has a vital role in supporting the EOSC and open science vision at national level, being actively involved in this initiative. She was involved in policy support activities for higher education, research and innovation and has implemented research activities on topics such as research infrastructures, performance based institutional research funding in public univeresities.  Previously she had been working as a consultant for the World Bank, program evaluation and monitoring expert at the Managing Authority for Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development financed through European Social Fund.
