Swedish Minister for Culture
Her areas of responsibility are culture, democracy, media, the national minorities, and the language and culture of the Sami people. Ms Liljestrand is a member of the Moderate Party.
Before taking up this position, she was Chair of Vallentuna Municipal Executive Board between 2015 and 2022. From 2012 to 2015, she was Principal of Vaxö skola. Up until 2022, Ms Liljestrand was Chair of SÖRAB AB (2016–2022), a board member of Roslagsvatten AB (2015–2022) and a member of Vallentuna Municipal Council (2002–2022).
Ms Liljestrand holds two degrees: a Principal degree from Stockholm University and a Teaching degree in Swedish and religious studies from Uppsala University.
